Our Committee

The Leigh Community Preschool is a not- for profit, community run, early childhood education centre and we are committed to providing an affordable quality service. Our main sources of income are from fees and Government funding which go towards the running costs of the preschool. We support our income with fundraising events, creative staff and generous parents.

The Preschool Committee are a team of volunteers who are elected annually in March at our Annual General Meeting (however parents are welcome to join anytime within the year). The committee contributes to the framework for how the preschool will operate and develop. The committee holds monthly meetings at the preschool. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend as your input is valued – you may even want to become a committee member! Being part of the committee is a great way to learn more about how the preschool is run, have a say in important matters and also an opportunity to make new friends.

On the notice board you will find the minutes of these meetings, with the monthly Financial Reports and the Annual Budget with quarterly updates.

A newsletter to parents and caregivers follows each committee meeting to keep you informed of children’s interests, upcoming events, reviews and trips. The Preschool’s Strategic Plan is also available on the notice board which outlines our current and future plans for the Preschool.
